Former Pike County resident arrested on child molesting charges

A former Pike County man is in jail this afternoon on Class A Felony charges as a result of a lengthy investigation into child molesting allegations.

In May 2017, Master Trooper Detective Tobias Odom began an investigation after a female reported allegations of child molestation to the Pike County Prosecutors Office. The female reported that as a young girl and through her teenage years, she was molested by 49-year-old Mickey Rowe of Evansville, formerly of Pike County.

The female alleged that Rowe had molested her and had sexual relations with her dating back as early as 1997. The inappropriate contact and relations continued through 2014, beyond the female’s childhood years and into her adult life. The female also alleged that Rowe forcibly raped and injured her in early 2007.

Rowe was arrested by Detective Odom this afternoon at his place of employment in Evansville. He was transported to the Pike County Jail, where he is being held on a $350,000 bond. He is charged with a Class A felony count of child molesting and a Class A felony count of criminal deviate conduct.

* Charges are listed under the “Class” system due to the crime occurring prior to July 1, 2014

  1. Just one question remains. What took this lady so long to notify the authorities? I do hope this guy gets put away for a very long time. At least until he dies.
