Erin J. Dawson, 44, of Santa Claus, passed away at 9:01 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
Erin was born in Rushville, Indiana on January 13, 1973, to Harry and Susan (Clemons) Dawson.
Erin was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at H & H Auto Sales in Jasper.
He enjoyed spending time with his daughter.
He is survived by one daughter, Elena Dawson of Louisville; fiancé, Amy (Ward) Laughlin of Santa Claus; one sister, Ann Dawson-Baker of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; his grandfather, Ernie Clemons of Greensburg, Ind.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Harry and Susan Dawson, maternal grandmother, Betty Clemons, and paternal grandparents, Florence and Harry Dawson.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow at a later date. Pastor Wininger will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
