Dubois County school year starts Aug. 12
ll Dubois County School Corporations, in collaboration with the Dubois County Health Department, have determined that the 2020-2021 school year will begin for all students on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Students opting for in-person instruction should plan to be in attendance on campus. Increased safety precautions will be implemented in accordance with the recommended reopening plan modifications. Modifications include daily screening of all students and staff prior to entering school facilities, the use of face coverings per order of the governor and SWDCSC policy, and minimizing student contact where possible.
An updated reopening plan is posted on the corporations websites.
The schools do as that parents please keep their children home if they are ill, exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or are being tested or awaiting test results for COVID-19.
SWDCSC will continue to work closely with the Dubois County Health Department to monitor the situation. Any changes to our school status will be communicated promptly as they arise.
This is crazy stupid putting children at risk. If someone is positive they have to quatine well what about parents they also have to do same. WHOS PAYING BILLS?football also does any one of you understand were in a hot spot. You think kids are going to follow rules ha your putting families at risk. If you have one wanting to go to school the other wants online defeats the purpose huh?
Students do not have to go into the buildings if they do not want to. They can choose the online, virtual school option.
So if I am nervous about sending my child to school, then no one should go?

The health dept. Needs a eye opener about the schools opening. And all need to rethink this for the safety of the kids and other people that they are in contact with after they get INFECTED. Why dont people want to protest against this ? They are in other cities.
