Dubois County Health Dept adds instructions to stay-home order
COVID-19 Situation Report and Guidance
As of March 31, at 8 a.m., there were no new positive COVID-19 tests of Dubois County residents. Dubois County currently has three positive cases.
All preliminary close contacts of the three positives have been IDENTIFIED and NOTIFIED by the Dubois County Health Department (DCHD). Places of employment have been notified. We will notify the public when there is a public threat. At this time if you have not been notified by the DCHD, then you have not been identified as a close contact.
There should be a designated shopper for each household. Families should not go shopping as a group. Children should stay at home whenever possible. Neighborhoods should not allow socializing and children should not play together. This means no playdates, overnight visits with friends, etc. Everyone should remain at least six feet away from anyone they do not live with to avoid exposure in necessary public places.
STAY HOME. PRACTICING SOCIAL DISTANCING AND GOOD HAND HYGIENE.
What about factories, associates working shoulder to shoulder with co-workers?
They keep telling us to stay home, practice social distancing and stay 6 feet apart. Now they want us to have a designated shopper for each household. I’ve seen too many comments like yours Elizabeth.
It looks like the factories do what they want by staying open and making the employees work.
It also looks like there are people who do what they want by not staying home.
It’s time the factories think about the employees. It’s time the people running around think about someone besides themselves.
We should be allowed to know what towns in Dubois have had contact. People would start to take this more seriously.
I’m not asking for the identity of these individuals. That’s their amenity for their own safety,but the public deserves to know where the spread is.
In the news you constantly see people being arrested for socializing in a larger group than 10 people. Yet, when I go to work I’m in a building of hundreds and the company doesn’t get a fine? Sure, I understand the economic linchpin still needs to operate but hypocrisy is an ignition of social unrest and with the long-term projected timeline of this pandemic, it seems unwise to couple ongoing fear-mongering with social right restrictions.
I know this is already long enough but for those who don’t know… A vaccine could take years to make for new virus strands such as COVID-19 and that’s if it doesn’t mutate. Be patient. Once the rich have theirs then we’ll get ours. The natural order.
The Coronavirus is spreading rapidly and maybe the Government AND the public are to blame.
I say the Government because they’re crying stay home, practice social distancing, and wash your hands. But they’re not practicing what they preach. They’re allowing nonessential businesses to stay open!
I say the public because the public can’t follow the rules.
If or when the virus begins to spread and lives are lost in Dubois county maybe the public will listen.
What will it take for the Government to close ALL nonessential businesses?
I agree with you, the factory that I work in seems to only care about money not it’s employees who make the money for them.
