Dubois County Health Department changes Covid-19 update process
Wednesday, the Dubois County Health Department announced that after today’s Covid-19 case update, they would no longer be providing daily updates on the number of Covid-19 cases.
The department sent a memo out with Wednesday’s report stating that after providing those numbers for the past seven months, they will discontinue those daily updates and refer the public to the Indiana State Department of Health website for that information.
“It has been a difficult year on everyone, and we understand the frustrations, we feel them every day as well,” the department stated in the memo. “With the increased workload, the immense amount of calls we are receiving and all the responsibilities coming to this department in the near future, we will no longer be giving a daily Covid-19 numbers report. Rather than duplicating services, we are asking everyone to use this site for all their daily updates.”
The ISDH Dashboard updates every day at noon.
The health department added they will continue to provide guidance and other relevant information to help fight the pandemic.
They also thanked residents for doing their part to help slow the spread of this virus.
Also on Wednesday, the health department reported six new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) bringing the total number of cases in Dubois County to 1,229.
Of the 1,229 cases, 936 have reportedly recovered and 22 residents have died.
Al 14 de octubre, a las 1 p.m., hay 6 nuevos casos positivos de nuevo coronavirus (COVID-19) para informar. Eso eleva el total a 1229 casos positivos de COVID-19 en los residentes del condado de Dubois.

That’s not right!!! We have the right to know the counts.
I agree we need to be informed.
Crying about what’s not right won’t keep you informed.
Going to the Indiana State Department of Health website will.
Would be nice if DCFP would check the ISDH site each day at/after noonish or thereabouts and report it here so that all interested people don’t all have to go there en mass to find out. For what it’s worth.
