Donna M. Fleck, 60, Ferdinand

Donna M. Fleck, 60, of Ferdinand, passed, away Thursday, September 20, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette.

Donna was born January 29,1958, in Huntingburg to Leo and Isabel (Dilger) Gessner. She was united in marriage to Tom J. Fleck on July 19, 1980, at Mary Help Of Christians Church in Mariah Hill.

Donna was a custodian at Ferdinand Elementary School.

She was a member of Christ the King Parish-St. Ferdinand Church and its choir. She was a member of the Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department Auxillary, Forest Park Band Boosters and the Celebration Singers.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, especially flowers, knitting, singing, and hosting guests and family for the holidays.

Surviving are her husband, Tom J. Fleck; children Luke (Andrea) Fleck of Ferdinand, Kyla (Ryan) Wagner of Fishers, and Alyssa Fleck of Ferdinand; three grandchildren, Kayden Fleck, Isabel Fleck and Logan Wagner; her mother, Isabel Gessner of Mariah Hill; one brother, David (Carol) Gessner of Mariah Hill; and one sister, Ruth (Kenny) Koenig of Mariah Hill.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Gessner; and a brother, Daniel Gessner in infancy.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, September 25, in Christ the King Parish-St. Ferdinand Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. ET Monday and from 7 to 9:30 a.m. ET Tuesday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
