Delores G. Hoffman, 81, Jasper

Delores G. Hoffman, 81, of Jasper, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. 

Delores was born in Boone Township on November 19, 1938, to Edgar and Ina (Dorsey) Weisman. She married Thomas G. Hoffman on December 27, 1956 in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1999. 

She was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township and she also attended Redemption Christian Church in Jasper. She volunteered at Memorial Hospital in Jasper and she enjoyed playing cards with her friends, quilting, sewing, cooking her mac-and-cheese and baking angel food cakes and apple pies. She especially cherished spending time with her family,  grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  

She is survived by three daughters, Patti Wigand (Pat) of French Lick, Sherri Troyer (Jeff) of Westfield, Ind., and Pam Wagner (Dan) of Ireland; one son, Terry Hoffman (Terri) of Ireland; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; one brother, Richard Weisman (Jeanie) of Ireland.  

Preceding her in death besides her husband were her parents. 

Funeral services for Delores G. Hoffman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Timothy Kraemer will officiate. 

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Monday at the church. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Redemption Christian Church of Jasper or a favorite charity.
