Death investigation underway near Birdseye

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a death at a residence on Harts Gravel Road north of Birdseye.

According to authorities, they received a 911 call was received from a female at 1:59 p.m. stating that there was a deceased male at the residence.

After responding, deputies secured the scene and took several individuals to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department. An Indiana State Police Crime Scene Technician was called to the scene.

According to police, the investigation is ongoing and more details will be released as it is made available.
