Craig A. Houchin, 48, of Jasper, passed away at 6:56 p.m., on Monday, February 10, 2020, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
Craig was born in Huntingburg on August 1, 1971, to Carl and Sarah (Winninger) Houchin.
Craig was a Jasper High School graduate. He worked at Wal-Mart in Jasper for almost 17 years. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana. He enjoyed watching TV.
He is survived by one sister, Nancy (Doug) Weyer of Ireland; three brothers, Thomas (Debbie) Houchin of St. Charles, Mo., David (Cheri) Houchin of Huntingburg, and Jeff (Mary) Houchin of Ferdinand; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents is one uncle, John Winninger.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Craig A. Houchin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow at a later date in Fairview Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Saturday, February 15, 2020.

I KNEW CRAIG THROUGH HIS JOB AT WALMART. HE WALKED FROM 7TH STREET TO WALMART AND BACK MOST DAYS (ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF) ONE WAY .I WOULD GIVE HIM A RIDE WHEN ID SEE HIM.VERY POLITE AND APPRECIATIVE. GOOD GUY
