Christopher R. Ruckriegel, 43, Jasper

Christopher R. Ruckriegel, 43, of Jasper, passed away on Saturday evening, February 24, 2018, at his home.

Chris was born in Jasper on October 25, 1974, to Richard and Carolyn (Buchta) Ruckriegel.

He worked as a coal miner for Peabody Energy for more than five years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son.

He is survived by one son, Isaac Ruckriegel of Evansville; his mother, Carolyn Ruckriegel of Jasper; one brother, Kevin (Junabel “Juvhy”) Ruckriegel of Jasper; three nephews, Drew, Mason and Logan, and one great-nephew, Braxton.

Preceding him in death are his father, Richard Ruckriegel and one sister, Tracy Ruckriegel.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services for Christopher R. Ruckriegel will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
