Carmon “Pete” Haase, 79, Jasper

Carmon “Pete” Haase, 79, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at his daughter’s residence.
He was born in Jasper on November 5, 1937, to the late Albert and Alvina (Blattel) Haase. His wife, Julia “Judy” Haase, preceded him in death in August 2016.
Pete was a graduate of Jasper High School. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Pete was also a member of VFW Post #673 in Jasper. He loved fishing, hunting, animals, and playing cards. Pete was a store manager at Buehler’s Foods in Jasper for many years.
Pete is survived by three children, Vicki (Tony) Sullivan of Troy, Kristi (Rick) Schnarr of Louisville and John (Jeanette) Haase of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Eugene Haase of Jasper; and four grandchildren, Bryce and Brittney Sullivan and Courtney and McKenzie Schnarr.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Baird Funeral Home in Troy, Ohio.

Haase Family, Pete was a fun well-liked classmate. I used to see him in the grocery, but that’s been some time ago. Prayers and sympathy, Sarah RIP Pete
He was my quarterback when I was a junior and threw winning pass touchdown passes to me in our first home win ever. Really good guy!
