Burglary suspect arrested in Huntingburg
Huntingburg — Huntingburg police arrested 46-year-old Jerry Frick on Wednesday after he allegedly broke into a neighbor’s residence and stole several items.
According to police, the victim, Angela Childress, contacted the department at 3:02 p.m. about a man who had broken into her home on Race Street and taken several articles.
Childress met the officers on Van Buren near the suspect’s home. She told police that she knew Frick and had contacted him about the incident. When she had confronted him about breaking into her home, he had ran away.
Police made contact with Frick at his residence on Van Buren Street and placed him under arrest for class C felony Burglary and transported him to the Huntingburg Police Department.
While Frick was in processing at the department, he took an object and cut his wrist making it bleed. Police called an ambulance to the department and Frick was transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
He was later released and then booked into the Dubois County Security Center on the burglary charge and other pending charges.
