Annette Kilian Merkley, 54

Annette Kilian Merkley, 54, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 11:38 a.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born December 27, 1959 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Russell and Marilyn (Langebrake) Kilian. She married Michael “Mick” Merkley on August 10, 1990 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.
Annette worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block in Huntingburg. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg; a member of the Southridge High School Class of 1978; and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and spending time with her family and pets.
Annette was preceded in death by her father, Russell Kilian.
She is survived by her husband, Michael “Mick” Merkley of Huntingburg; one daughter, Miranda Merkley of Bloomington; her mother, Marilyn Kilian of Huntingburg; two brothers and two sister-in-laws, Kenny Kilian and his wife, Janet, and Randy Kilian and his wife, Gwen, all of Huntingburg; four sisters and two brother-in-laws, Lori LaDue of Lewisville, Texas, Suzanne Patberg and her husband, Scott, of Huntingburg, Jill Kilian of Huntingburg, and Beth Brown and her husband, Kregg, of Huntingburg; and by nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Annette Kilian Merkley will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday. A parish vigil prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
