Edmund Cissna, Jr., 98, Spencer County

Edmund Cissna, Jr., 98, of Spencer County, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport, Indiana.

He was born June 5, 1917 in Spencer County to the late Edmund and Hattie (Metz) Cissna. Edmund graduated from Chrisney High School and Indiana State Teacher’s College. He was a member of Santa Claus United Methodist Church.

Edmund was preceded in death by his wife, Nina (Freshley) Cissna, and sisters Ruby Wetzel and Ruth Braun.

He is survived by daughters, Judith Rowland (Billy) and Joan Melsheimer (Melvin), and son, Bruce E. Cissna, sister, Eugenia Groves (Joe), four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. CDT at the Bloomfield Wesley Chapel in Spencer County, Indiana.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Bloomfield Wesley Chapel, Santa Claus United Methodist Church, Spencer County Hospice or any other charity.
