But for the safety of all our community, please do your part and follow this order: STAY HOME.  ontinue to practice social distancing and good hand hygiene,” said Dr. Ted Waflart, Dubois County Health Officer.

The Indiana State Department of Health has updated the COVID-19 site to include information about the number of tests for the disease. These numbers are impacted by the lack of testing supplies that has led to the issuance of guidelines local testing sites must adhere to at this time.

As of Friday, Dubois County is reporting 22 tests according to the state site however we have been told that the number does not reflect the actuality of testing in Dubois County. (This has been paragraph has been changed to reduce confusion on what is occurring here)

  1. I honestly DON’T think “together we will get through this”. I think we’ve not even started to see the massive damage this virus is going to cause. And I also don’t think we will be “stronger because of it’. We will be much weaker. We will look back at April 3rd and think those were the “good ole days”. How’s that for a positive attitude?:-(

  2. They say only 4 confirmed cases. That’s because they haven’t tested hardly anyone. The way people around Jasper are treating it, this will be a hotbed in no time.
There are so many people out and about, spreading it to who knows how many others or if they don’t have it yet, they’ll get it after mixing with so many others who are out.
I understand that it’s nice out and people are getting bored but having seen Rural King’s parking lot or Home Depot, Walmart, etc. there are people taking risks they really shouldn’t be. And, that’s bad for those who are trying to stay away from crowds but do still have to buy food or medicine and interact with them.

  3. It’s so true MD J. I know people that are or been sick and have. Ot been tested. Even I been sick with cough, chest pain, diarrhea, fever, sore throat but guess what, have not been tested. Stayed home 4 days and back to work. Did I had the COVID? Who knows, maybe maybe not. Who all is getting tested? Again there is people that might have Covid-19 and thay are at work or other places exposing others but until we are not positive, we can’t stay isolated. NO TEST NOT POSITIVE!!
