  1. So what about the 158 who haven’t recovered but also haven’t Died? Anyone…?

    1. It would make sense to assume they are still sick, particularly with the large numbers of infected we’ve seen over the past 2 weeks. Many are laid up for weeks, even months.

  2. It would be very beneficial to everyone concerned to be able to find out where the affected persons are currently located (E.g. home isolation, hospitalized, long term health facility, etc.). Majority of the citizens are truly concerned and should be able to find out where potential dangers of contracting the virus are at.

  3. Perhaps the missing 158 are the false positives that I keep hearing about on social media. Surely the health department isn’t padding the numbers for additional federal relief dollars? In addition I would like to mention that I have yet to wear a mask. And, I nor anyone I have encountered have experienced any COVID symptoms, up to and including death. Perhaps we are being duped by a “for hire” media? And I would also like to point out that Kevin Bacon was in the film “Footloose”. I do not have to watch CNN to know this. Let’s see what “facts” get posted next.

      1. Yes. I am terrified. I am afraid that you may try to “take care” of me like Hillary did to Epstein. I am afraid that Black Lives Matter and the rest of the party that supports violence against people of other ethnicities and the police may attack me. And yes. I am afraid of liberals. Your kind kept blacks in chains for decades and the disenfranchised them until the 1960’s. Liberals are a terrifying type. They form mobs and face no repercussions from politicians of their own beliefs. I speak the truth. I believe in the greatness of God, America, and all of God’s children. ALL LIVES MATTER! Despite what Democrats say.

    1. Well considering there were 142 (158 in the past 14) new cases in Dubois county in the last 10 days, and since people who test positive likely have to recover and test as negative (which takes longer than recovery) I think it’s safe to say they are still here and still positive (showing symptoms or not). No conspiracy needed to figure that out, just a little intelligence. Perhaps you should stop getting “news” from social media which has been proven to feed you information in a bubble of your own making full of falsehoods and half truths. It might help you understand the world without having to concoct false conspiracy theories. I have encountered a couple people who have had SARS-COV-2, that doesn’t prove much. It’s an anecdote, just like yours. If you want to know what is actually going on, you need to get out of your bubble and see the actual data, not just a random anecdote or two on facebook that have been distorted by a game of telephone, and quit ignoring data you don’t like just because it gives you bad feels.

  4. In not as ignorant as some. What is your home address Wayne? It seems to be unlisted.

  5. Also anecdotally, I do know people in this area who had covid 19. They were very sick for over two weeks. They did not require hospitalization but were in bed and had a lot of shortness of breath, weakness etc. Luckily, these were healthy individuals who got through it without complications. A young person in the same household tested positive but didn’t have any symptoms.
No doubt, this is a nerve wracking experience for us as a community. Watching numbers rise can make us feel helpless but as an essential worker, I have accepted wearing a mask and washing my hands more often as a part of life for the time being.
I won’t use my real name because Oscar scares me more than covid. Not only because he asked for Wayne’s home address but because of his twisted logic and misinformed historical and current events references.
Fact; Trump was sued by the federal government in 1973 after being found by the Human Rights Commission refusing to rent apartments to African-Americans. Is this the disenfranchisement referred to?
Having to wear a mask is not a civil rights injustice. It’s a temporary measure to support public health.
Real civil rights injustices are alive, they didn’t end in 1970. That is what Black Lives Matters is trying to convey.
I guess there have always been people so entrenched against civil rights. As a woman who raised a well-adjusted child on my own wages, I’m glad Oscar is not in charge. It would have been impossible for me to do what I did living under “traditional family values”. I had to have a college education, access to reproductive healthcare and the acceptance of my community to succeed. In Oscar’s world, I’m sure I would have been left to be dependent on a man’s whim or be on a thin gruel of welfare benefits. And the irony of him feeling imposed upon to wear a mask, when women have been fighting for eons to have/keep control over our own reproductive healthcare ..we’ll i just hope people can see it.
Sorry to stray from the covid topic but Oscar started it! Lol!
