269 marijuana plants found in SW Dubois County cornfield
Officers with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police confiscated about 269 marijuana plants the southwestern part of the county this morning.
According to authorities, officers had located three separate plots of marijuana growing inside cornfields near Holland.
Both the Indiana State Police and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department frequently fly over Dubois County in an effort to attempt to locate any illegal marijuana grow operations in the area.
After confirming the existence of the three plots, the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department worked with the Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office to obtain a warrant that allowed them to place surveillance equipment around the plots in order to monitor any activity in the area.
However, due to the large quantity and size of the plants, law enforcement entered the corn fields this morning and confiscated about 269 plants.
The investigation into the individuals who planted and maintained these three plots is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information concerning these plots is asked to contact Narcotics Officer John Anderson at 812-639-9055 or 812-482-3522.

Good thing you guys got those demon plants out of there. I can hardly even hike in the mountains here in colorado without that mind controlling haze drifting through the air and making my thoughts drift towards laziness and dislike for ronald raegen. Good to see in my home state were still trying to ignore all the benefits of decriminalization and tax dollars to improve a state with such a BOOMING economy. Good job guys nixon and raegen would be proud!!!!!!!
Quit making “easy” cannabis arrests and go after heroin and meth
What a shame! Our backwards stance on marijuana is detrimental to our economy, a waste of tax dollars, prison space, judicial time and the list goes on. Meanwhile it is perfectly legal for GMO crops to be planted and sprayed with toxic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides that run off into the creeks, rivers, and lakes. Doctors, insurance and pharmaceutical companies get off scott free plus get big bucks for basically all running a giant drug cartel.
They should seize that corn too. I can’t digest that grain or whatever it’s classified as. Because I think it should be avoided, clearly, everyone should too.
Why cant u leave this poor dudes pot ALONE
Its not hurting anyone, and just like the rest of us that guy probably just needs money to get through hard times. Weed should be federally legalized and taxed. With all the people who would buy the weed, if it were federally taxed, this country would be in a much better state financially.
Proud of the efforts of our hard working police department and totally shocked by others disrespect for the law!
