25 new Covid-19 cases; Health Dept reminds residents of safety guidelines

Tuesday, the Dubois County Health Department announced 25 additional cases of Covid-19 had been diagnosed in the county.

That brings the total to 344 positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents. Of the 344 cases, 257 have reportedly recovered (self-reported they are feeling better and out of isolation). According to the health department, 3,484 tests have been completed.

Six people have died.

The Dubois County Health Department, Dubois County Emergency Management Agency, and the local response partners are continuing to work in close partnership with one another in order to best support our wonderful community, the department stated in a press release.

The increase in cases of COVID-19 in our community reminds us the vital importance of taking precautions to protect the health and safety of our residents. 

The recommendations have not changed: Wear a cloth face covering when in public, maintain social distancing, wash your hands frequently, and stay home if you are feeling ill. Educate yourself by listening to reliable sources and authorities. Take care of your friends and neighbors by checking in on them via phone or emails.
