WABASH COUNTY SEEMS TO BE SMART ALL ONLINE AND NO SPORTS…. NO PUTTING THERE KIDS AT RISK. WISE UP DUBOIS COUNTY
You can close school and no school sports. And go online. But did Wabash county also cancel travel sports activities. And are the parents keeping their kids home and when they go out wearing mask and social distancing. If you don’t cancel travel sports you still have kids being at risk. No mask or social distancing at travel sports games. Are you going to keep kids at home? If you still go to parties and maintain other activities where kids mingle with other kids. Kids are still being put at risk. So is closing schools going to reduce risk of kids being exposed? Another issue that needs to be addressed if schools go to online only is the poor internet service that exist in rural areas of Dubois County.
Not everyone has internet. Some choose not to and others just can’t afford it.
In some areas, schools (and businesses) are providing WiFi “hot spots” for families that do not have internet service.
