Zona Kamman, 90

Zona Kamman, age 90, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 4:54 p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born September 12, 1922 in Pike County, Indiana to Sam and Emma (Bauermeister) Sollman. Zona graduated from Stendal High School and married Wilferd Kamman on March 7, 1942 in Kaburn, Indiana. She was a homemaker, an active member of the Zoar United Methodist Church, and enjoyed gardening and quilting. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Wilferd Kamman, who died March 10, 1993; one brother, Perley Sollman; and one sister, Emma Lorton.

She is survived by five sons and four daughter-in-laws; Jack (Nina) Kamman of Huntingburg, Ron (Anita) Kamman of Terre Haute, Rich Kamman of Jasper, Terry (Jodi) Kamman of Huntingburg, and Mark (Sherry) Kamman of Huntingburg; and by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Zona Kamman will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Zoar United Methodist Church in Zoar, Indiana with burial to follow in Zoar Cemetery. The Rev. Marianne Hawkins and Rev. Joe Kamman will officiate at the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday; and also at the church from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Thursday morning.
