Young Professional Network, Community CHEW launch food drive for local pantries

The Young Professional Network of Southern Indiana and Community CHEW are hosting a community-wide food drive running July 27 through Aug. 14.

Donations can be dropped off at eight locations across the area during business hours:

  • Freedom Bank (Jasper) — 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Seufert Construction — 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Indiana Farm Bureau — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Premier Property Management — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Huntingburg Machine Works — 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Jasper Engines (headquarters) — 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Harmon Dental Care — hours vary; check online
  • Springs Valley Bank (1500 Main St.) — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers are asking for non-perishable items including instant brown rice, all-purpose baking mix, seasoning packets, canned black beans, diced tomatoes, pasta and tomato sauce, applesauce, and grated Parmesan cheese, along with other shelf-stable donations.
