Yeehaw! Hoedown for Anderson Woods this Friday

Anderson Woods Hoedown, the annual fundraiser supporting the special needs summer camp, is set to take place this Friday at the Calumet in Jasper.

Guests are invited to put on their boots and saddle up to support the 2026 camp and its services for a special group of campers.

“The Hoedown not only is a fun event for the community, but also gives the community an opportunity to learn a little more about Anderson Woods, visit with some of our campers/staff first hand, and join us in our mission to raise funds to provide camping experiences to both kids and adults with special needs,” said director Megan Gatwood.

Guests will enjoy a fantastic meal catered by Oink Smokehouse and Southern Kitchen, live music from Kyle Lueken and Debbie Schuetter, a silent auction, a half-pot, a cash bar, and, of course, line dancing.

“This is our main fundraiser of the year,” said Gatwood. “Maintaining the 163 acres of land/buildings and providing the camping services is a costly venture, and every penny will go toward making the 2026 camp season a success.”

The event is on Friday, November 14, from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Calumet. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by texting 8120-639-1079 or by stopping by the Dubois County Visitors Center, 248 E Third St., Suite C, Jasper.

“It is a great night to get to share in the joy that Anderson Woods provides!” said Gatwood.
