Worksite altercation lands Jasper man in jail
Update:
Police levied an additional charge of intimidation with a deadly weapon against Aleman.
According to police, as they conducted the investigation, statements by witnesses and surveillance video taken of the incident corroborated that Aleman had chased the victim with a machete.
The charge is a Level 5 felony.

Jasper — A Jasper man was arrested after he allegedly started a fight at Kimball Electronics Monday morning.
Police were dispatched to Kimball Electronics, 1038 E. 15th, at about 6:09 a.m. for the report of a fight. When they arrived, the officers were informed that a man had struck another man in the face while attempting to enter Kimball Electronics.
According to Jasper Det. Rick Chambers, the initial report stated the fight involved a knife but the alleged weapon was never located.
Police were told the man had fled while officers were on their way there. The man’s description and a description of his vehicle were provided to police and they located the vehicle moments later.
The suspect in the fight, Oscar Osmar Aleman, 37, of Leopold St., was arrested for a misdemeanor charge of battery and a Level 6 felony charge of intimidation. He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
