Woman facing manslaughter charge
A Jasper woman is facing a charge of attempted voluntary manslaughter after being arrested last Friday.
According to police, Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center contacted the Jasper Police Department about a male victim with a laceration on his neck.
Officers investigated and found that during a domestic incident on November 26, 2020, Gina M. Kieffner, 25, 314 W. Ninth St., Jasper, had allegedly cut the victim’s neck with a knife.
Kieffner was taken into police custody and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
She faces preliminary charges of attempted voluntary manslaughter, a Level 2 felony; criminal recklessness; aggravated battery; domestic battery; and battery.
