Wilma L. Meyer, 93

Wilma L. Meyer, age 93, of Boone Township passed away at 3:42 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Wilma was born in Boone Township, Indiana on January 15, 1921 to Henry and Maggie (Stradtner) Eck She married Paul Meyer December 30, 1941 at St. John’s Parsonage in Boone Township, Indiana.

Wilma was a homemaker and lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township.

Wilma is survived by her husband of 72 years, Paul Meyer, of Boone Township; three daughters, Mary Ann Kieffner, and her husband Harold, of Boone Township, Martha Lou Meyer, of Jasper, and Linda Englert, and her husband Craig, of Jackson, Ala.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are one sister, Meta Sendelweck, and an infant brother, Alton Eck.

Funeral services for Wilma L. Meyer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Boone Township, Indiana.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service time on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the funeral home. Pastor Catherine Burnette will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ELCA Mission Fund or Terri Clark Ministries for Mission Work in Uganda.
