Wilma Jean “Jeanne” Seger, 83

Wilma Jean “Jeanne” Seger, 83, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at home.
Jeanne was born on March 12, 1931 in Jasper, Indiana to Jacob and Coletta (Renner) Lechner. She married Jerome J. Seger on May 26, 1951. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2008.
Jeanne was a graduate of the Jasper High School Class of 1949. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the D of I, the St. Ann’s Society, a founding member of the Dubois County Art Guild, and a 20-year volunteer at Memorial Hospital. She was an avid painter and horse collector. She loved flowers.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Parker, and her husband, Stephen, of Kauai, Hawaii, Sherry Seger of Bloomington, Ill., and Karen Ubelhor of Huntingburg; five sons, Glenn Seger, and his wife Sue, of Otwell, Steve B. Seger of Evansville, David D. Seger, and his wife Anita, of Jasper, Terry Seger, and his wife, Brenda, of Velpen, and Wayne Seger, and his wife Bonnie, of Jasper; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Luella Bredhold, and her husband Clarence, of St. James City, Fla.
Preceding her in death besides her husband is one sister, Romilda “Millie” Padgett.
Funeral services for Wilma Jean “Jeanne” Seger will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The St. Ann’s and D of I will pray a rosary at 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
