Willis W. Nigg, 87, Jasper

Willis W. Nigg, 87, Jasper, passed away at 1:04 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Willis was born in Dubois, IN on September 23, 1928, to David and Catherine (Kalb) Nigg. He married Annetta Buchta on November 5, 1949, in St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads.

Willis was a farmer and retired in the construction industry. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper. He enjoyed growing roses, woodworking, and spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Annetta Nigg of Jasper; two sons, Don Nigg and wife Connie and Gene Nigg and wife Rhonda, all of Jasper; four grandchildren, Michele Roelle, Kimberly Nigg, Adam Nigg, and Wendi Lindauer; four great-grandchildren, Antony Roelle, Lillie Roelle, Ethan Nigg, and Silas Nigg.

Preceding him in death was one grandson; Jeffrey Nigg, one sister; Evelyn Goller, and six brothers; Henry, Philmore, Elmer, Martin, Leander and Edgar Nigg.

Funeral services for Willis W. Nigg will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow in Community Cemetery in Haysville.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service time on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper.
