Willie M. Schafer, 91
Willie M. Schafer, age 91 of Jasper passed away at 2:20 p.m. Friday (December 9, 2011) in the Transcendent Health Care of Boonville, Indiana.
He was born February 7, 1920 at Hawesville, Kentucky to John M. and Carrie (McCaslin) Schafer. He married Dolena Cooper on October 14, 1939, she preceded him in death on February 2, 2004.
Willie retired from Kimball International where he had worked for many years. He formerly worked for Hoosier Desk in Jasper and DMI Industries in Huntingburg, Indiana.

Preceding him in death besides his wife is one great grandson (Nathan Johnson), and Three half brother, Walter, Homer and Herbert Poole and two half sister, Daisy Young and Frances Poole.
Funeral services for Willie Schafer will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (December 14, 2011) at Shiloh United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Rev. Bob Dexter, Rev. Steve Seitz and Rev. Gerald Frye will officiate.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (December 13, 2011) at the Becher – Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh United Methodists Church or to Grace Community Church in Jasper.
