William T. Mehringer, 84, Jasper

William T. Mehringer, 84, Jasper, passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016, at Brookside Village in Jasper.

Bill was born on April 19, 1932, in Jasper, Indiana to John S. and Christina (Schuetter) Mehringer. He married Beatrice Fleck on June 21, 1962, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana. She preceded him in death on October 8, 2014.

He retired from Masterbrand Cabinets after 35 years of service.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, Jasper Outdoor Recreation, and the Ireland Sportsman’s Club.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working with small engines, going on Sunday drives, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by three daughters, Christine Popp and husband Todd of Jasper, Kimberly Lubbehusen and husband Don of Huntingburg and Vicki Ludwig and husband Jason of Evansville; two sons, Glenn Mehringer and wife Marlene of Jasper and Rick Mehringer of Jasper; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lewis (Dud) Mehringer of Jasper.

Preceding him in death was his wife Beatrice; six sisters, Helen Mehringer, Leona Seng, Sally Mehringer, Virginia Jochem, Mary Lou Hohl and Dorothy Rees; and six brothers, Bernard, Eugene, Norbert, Delmar (Bud), Alvin (Chebbie) and Robert Mehringer.

Funeral services for William T. Mehringer will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
