William Karl (Bud) Stock, 87
William Karl (Bud) Stock, age 87 of Jasper, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Monday (September 3, 2012) at Brookside Village in Jasper.
He was born August 6, 1925 in Lombard, Illinois to William Otto and Ida (Eilrich) Stock. He married Evelyn G. Schlak on March 3, 1951 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lombard, Illinois.
As an infant, he was received into our Lords holy family by baptism at St. John’s Lutheran Church. After instruction in the Christian Faith, he made a public confession of his faith in the rite of confession also at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Bud attended St. John’s Lutheran School and graduated High School from Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois in 1943.
He was a World War II veteran where he served with the 79th Infantry Division in Europe and became a POW. He was a member of the American Legion Post #147, the VFW Post #679 and the DAV #77.
He worked as a butcher for Jewel for 44 years.

Preceding William in death besides his wife is one brother, Elmer Stock.
Memorial services will be held at a future date in Lombard, Illinois. Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
