William J. Hasenour, 71

William J. Hasenour, age 71, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

William was born in Jasper, Indiana on August 24, 1942 to Alois and Esther (Buechlein) Hasenour.

He married Shirley Mendel on October 26, 1963 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.

William retired from Verizon Communications in 2010.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hasenour, of Jasper; one daughter, Brenda Green, of Jasper; two sons, Greg Hasenour and Brian Hasenour, both of Jasper; one sister, Virginia Wininger, of Jasper;.

Preceding him in death is one sister, Elfrieda Howe and two brothers, Dennis Hasenour and James Hasenour.

Funeral services for William J. Hasenour will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
