William J. Fleck

William J. Fleck, 58, of Crown Point, Ind., formerly of Jasper, passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at his residence in Crown Point.

Bill was born on June 8, 1957 in Jasper, Indiana to Robert and Dorothy (Lechner) Fleck. He married Irina Ivanova on October 19, 2005 in Indianapolis.

Bill was a fraud examiner working for Forfeiture Support Associates under the direction of the U.S. Marshal’s Office. He was a Certified Public Accountant with CFE and CIA endorsements.

He was a member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in St. John Indiana.

He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed his faith, hunting, golfing, high school musicals, singing and music, making his new house his home, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by wife, Irina Ivanova of Indianapolis; one stepson, Denis Ivanov of Indianapolis; father, Robert F. Fleck of Jasper; two sisters, Mary Beth Gibson and husband Glaze of Seymour and Anne Therese Poling and husband George of Versailles; two brothers, Terry Fleck and wife Sylvia of Indianapolis and Randy Fleck and wife Sharon of St. Anthony; seven nieces, four nephews, four great nieces, two great-nephews.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Dorothy Fleck who passed on April 22, 2000.

Funeral services for Bill Fleck will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana and from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service time on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Sisters of Providence at St. Marys-of-the-Woods, or to a favorite charity.
