William J. “Bill” Rauscher, 82

William J. “Bill” Rauscher, 82, of Evansville, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away at 1:53 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015 at The Sterling House in Evansville.
He was born August 26, 1932 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Jacob and Lydia (Hammelman) Rauscher.
Mr. Rauscher worked as a comptroller and was employed by the IRS, Huntingburg Furniture Company, Olinger Construction Company, and Kimball International where he worked for 31 years and retired. He was a graduate of Evansville College; was a member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church; and former member of the Huntingburg Country Club board of directors and Huntingburg Library board where he served as treasurer and director.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy (Schnell) Rauscher, who passed away September 9, 2013; and one brother, Larry Lee Rauscher.
He is survived by one son and one daughter-in-law, Bret (Debi) Rauscher of Evansville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joan Sisson of Newburgh and Doris (Larry) Ferguson of Huntingburg; two grandsons, Joshua and Joey Rauscher both at home; and by nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for William J. “Bill” Rauscher will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Reverend Lee Campbell will officiate at the service.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and also from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
Memorial donations can be made to the Huntingburg United Methodist Church or the University of Evansville Endowment Fund in memory of Bill Rauscher.
