William J. “Bill” Mohr Sr.

William J. “Bill” Mohr Sr., 76, of Ferdinand passed away Sunday January 19th in Scenic Hills Care Center, Ferdinand.

He was born April 15,1937 in Ferdinand to John Sr.& Augusta (Oser) Mohr.

He married Julia Schwartz on June 8,1956 in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Bill worked for DMI, and retired from Jasper Cabinet. He also worked as a bartender at Fleigs Café, Ferdinand.

He was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Huntingburg, St. Anthony Conservation Club, and a past member of Ferdinand Jaycees. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and woodworking. He loved to sit on his front porch and his deck.

Surviving are his wife, Julia Mohr; four daughters, Darlene Pickens and husband Mark of Medina, Tenn., Sue Mohr of Ferdinand, Cindy Greulich and husband Randal, of Ferdinand, Phyllis Seifers & husband Bruce of Newton, Ill.; one son, Bill Mohr Jr. of Ferdinand; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six brothers, Robert Mohr and wife Barbara, John Mohr Jr. and wife Margie, Ronnie Mohr and wife Doris, Paul Mohr and wife Becky, Ed Oser and wife Martha, all of Ferdinand, and Richard “Dick” Mohr and wife Elaine, of Mariah Hill; three sisters, Mary Louise “Dolly” Harris and husband Jim, of Huntingburg, Frances “Bootsie” Brinkman and husband Jerome, Vita Vogerel and husband Kenneth, both of Ferdinand.

Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Bretzville Cemetery, Bretzville.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:00-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand.
