William C. Gross, 74

William C. Gross, 74, Evansville, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Bill served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Brenda Frick in 1964 and together they shared 50 years of marriage. Bill retired from Whirlpool in 2000, after 38 years of service. He loved the beach, mountains and any time that he could spend outdoors. Bill’s biggest joy in life was his family.

He was a kind, loving man and will be missed by many.

Surviving are his wife, the former Brenda Frick of Jasper; two sons, Michael Gross and wife Jamie and DeWayne Gross; a daughter, Misty (Neil) Tanner and husband Neil; a brother, Larry Gross and wife Karen; a sister, Carolyn Young; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home.

Entombment will follow at a later date in Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. CST and also one hour prior to service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon immediately following the funeral service in the commons room at Sunset Funeral Home.
