William “Bill” Henry Tormohlen, 88

William “Bill” Henry Tormohlen, age 88, of Huntingburg, passed away at 12:25 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born March 9, 1923 in Cass Township in Dubois County, Indiana to Elvis H. and Ruth (Hemmer) Tormohlen. He was a metalworker and retired from the ALCOA Warrick Works. Bill was a member of: Salem United Church of Christ, Holland American Legion, Huntingburg V.F.W. Post #2366, Kiwanis Club, Dubois County Masonic Lodge #520 F&AM, Birdseye Eastern Star, Hadi Shrine, Scottish Rite, and the U.S. Mine Craft Association. Bill served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Eunice (Feldmeyer) Tormohlen, who died December 11, 1999; and two sisters, Kathryn Howard and Berneta Fuhrman.
He is survived by:

by (4) grandsons, and (7) great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bill Tormohlen will be held at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Rev. Kenneth Scherry will officiate the services. The V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Monday; and also at Salem Church one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday. The Dubois County Masonic Lodge #520 F&AM will conduct a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Monday evening, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Shriners Children’s Hospital, The Bill & Eunice Tormohlen Choir Fund c/o the Huntingburg Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
