William Albert Feldmeyer, 87

William Albert Feldmeyer, age 87, of Orlando, Florida, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Florida.

He was born in Huntingburg, Indiana to Samuel Henry and Meta B. (Bartelt) Feldmeyer.

Mr. Feldmeyer was an executive in furniture manufacturing for over 30 years, was a past president and trustee of the Orlando Elks Lodge #1079, held numerous leadership roles in civic and church organizations throughout his life, and was a veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by two siblings, Eunice Dorothy Tormohlen and Samuel Louis Feldmeyer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine “Kay” S. Feldmeyer of Orlando, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis “Kurt” W. (Sabrina) Feldmeyer of Tobaccoville, N.C.; five stepchildren, William Sykes, Christine Kamitsis, Linda Rambo, Lawrence Sykes and George Sykes; two nieces, Phyllis Feldmeyer of Huntingburg and Susan “Sue” (Jarel) Meyer of Holland; by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for William Feldmeyer will be held at 2:00 p.m., EST, on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. The Rev. Mark West will officiate at the services.

Friends may call for visitation at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg from 1:00-2:00 p.m., on Thursday, the day of the funeral.

Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is handling the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Florida Elks Association for Elk’s Children’s Therapy Services at P.O. Box 49, Umatilla, FL 32784.
