Will Read and Sing raises $1,100 for Friends of the Jasper Public Library
The Will Read and Sing for Friends of the Jasper Public Library raised $1,100 thanks to the audience’s generosity.
Frontman Scott Saalman said it was a great start to the troupe’s sixth year in existence. To date, WRASFF’s audiences have raised $73,969 for over two dozen local charities and causes.
Several local middle and high school writers were recognized for their talents. Middle-school writers Brenna Mehringer and Alyssa Schwenk were selected as the first-place choices for the fall writing contest: 5th place, Amanda Schnell; 4th place, Ava Harmon; 3rd place Kiersten Woehler; 2nd place, Caroline McCance.
There were about 300 entries.
