Will Read and Sing For Food will present its first show of 2017 at Klubhaus 61 in Jasper, Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, 7 p.m..

This show marks WRASFF’s second Choose A Charity event, in which the recipient of the show’s proceeds was selected by a past WRASFF audience member following a drawing, in this case, Kayla Dooley.

Dooley picked The Jasper District of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP), which encompasses 13 parishes throughout the county with a purpose of serving the poor and those in need. SVdP provides financial support in for rent, utilities, food, etc. Each year, the organization’s members tabulate more than 1,000 home visits and help more than 2,000 families. The organization is completely volunteer and all funds generated help those right here in our community.

WRASFF performers include Scott Saalman, Marc Steczyk, 44 News This Morning’s Gretchin Irons and Dr. Isaac and Megan Gatwood. Other performers to be announced soon. The show will also include the artwork of local artist Laura Pommier, the latest segment of WRASFF’s focus on visual arts. Past artists highlighted have included Abby Laux, Jay Hamlin and Graciela Perrone.

Cash bar and appetizers available at show. Admission: $10 per person.

Show #101 sponsors: Ken Sendelweck (Merrill Lynch), Bob and Ann Schneider, Jim and Pat Thyen, Pat and MJ Saalman, and Pieper Burns State Farm.
