Wilfred A. Sendelweck, 84

Wilfred A. Sendelweck, age 84 of Jasper passed away at 11:10 a.m. Sunday (January 8, 2012) at his home in Jasper.
He was born at Porterville, Indiana on December 8, 1927 to Philip and Katie (Schnarr) Sendelweck. He married Hazel Himsel on February 5, 1955 in the Ireland Methodist Church.
Wif Sendelweck was a Korean War Veteran serving in the 140 th Tank battalon.
He was a graduate of Alfordsville High School.
He retired from the Crane Navel Weapons Center in Crane Indiana where he had worked for 18 years. Previously he was a sales representative for Moorman Feed Company and also worked for the Jasper Wood Products and operated the family farm in Boone Township.
He is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church – American Legion Post #147 and the V.F.W. Post # 673.
He enjoyed fishing and the Chicago Cubs and IU Basketball.

- Mrs. Jon (Shannon) Elfreich, Evansville, IN
Five grandchildren, Logan, Mitchell, Kelsey, Rachel and William.
Preceding him in death is one sister, Anna Mae Weisman and one nephew, Capt. Kurt Weisman US. Air Force.
Funeral services for Wilfred A. Sendelweck will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (January 11, 2012) in St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. American Legion Post # 147 will conduct military grave side rites. The Rev. Catherine Burnette will officiate.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (January 10, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
