Whitney Hulsman, a Forest Park senior, announced as new Ferdinand intern

Whitney Hulsman, 18, a senior at Forest Park Jr./Sr. High School, will be the Town of Ferdinand’s new intern for the fall semester.
“I am happy to have Whitney continue the strong tradition of Forest Park students who have interned with the town,” said Town Manager Chris James. “It is my hope that she will gain the experience necessary to help with her future plans.”
Whitney has hopes of seeking a business-oriented degree after graduating from Forest Park in May but is undecided on the exact major and college choice at this time.
She is a member of the State Champion Forest Park Dance Team and also participates in National Honor Society (NaHoSo), National Beta Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Key Club, Community Impact, Peers Educating Peers (PEP) and volunteers as a school library helper during her study hall.
“Being able to gain a hands-on experience will be quite exciting as I take on the future,” Whitney said about her choice to work with the town. “I love the town of Ferdinand and to be a part of the Manager’s office for a semester is an incredible honor.”
Whitney is the daughter of Steven and Tricia Hulsman of Birdseye. She has one brother, Zach, who currently attends the University of Southern Indiana.
