Wendell “Butch” Selvidge, 70, of Duff, Indiana, formerly of McCreary County, Kentucky, passed away at 5:15 p.m., on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born April 2, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to George and Dorothy (Martin) Selvidge. He married Judy A. Meyerholtz on July 31, 1987 in Huntingburg.

Mr. Selvidge was a retired contractor and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Duff Conservation Club and the Dubois County Lodge #520 F&AM.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Steve Vanover of McCreary County, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Selvidge of Duff; one daughter, Sherry Selvidge of Morgantown, Ky.; four sons, Wayne Selvidge of Huntingburg, Mitchell Selvidge of Bowling Green, Ky., Michael Selvidge of Glasgow, Ky., and Wesley Selvidge of Bowling Green, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Amy Marley and Deb Combs, both of Huntingburg; three stepsons, Perry Welp of Ferdinand, Joseph Welp of Huntingburg, and Martin Welp of Huntingburg and Haiti; two sisters, Janet Kellogg of Springfield, Ohio and Sharon Hickenbottom of McMinnville, Tenn.; one brother, George Selvidge, Jr. of Altus, Ok.; by 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Wendell “Butch” Selvidge will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mayo Cemetery near Duff, Indiana.  Pastor Darrel Land will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday the day of the funeral.

A Masonic memorial service will be conducted by the Dubois County Lodge #520 F&AM at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
