Waunita Lysinger, 94, Hillham

Waunita Lysinger, 94, of Hillham, Ind., passed away on May 13, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on Emmons Ridge, near Hillham, Ind., on Nov. 2, 1930, to John and Ada (Mayo) Lewis.

Waunita married Carl Ronald Lysinger on Sept. 12, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2001.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Theresa Ellen Roach; brothers, Harry and Howard Lewis; sisters, Clara Emmons, Ethel Moore, Mellie Fern Lewis and Ruth Buchanan.

Waunita lived a quiet life on Emmons Ridge, but one that has left impressions of love and faith in God upon several generations of family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Ronald Craig Lysinger (Bethy); daughter, Kathy Jean Lagenour; son-in-law, Randy Roach; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Emmons Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
