Wanda Lee “Sis” Kalb, 88

Wanda Lee “Sis” Kalb, age 88, of Dubois, passed away at 2:08 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Brookside Village Retirement Community in Jasper.

Wanda was born on February 14, 1925 in Dubois Indiana to William and Lorena (Neukam) Beck. She married Othmar J. Kalb on October 9, 1943. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1995.

Wanda was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville.

She enjoyed sewing, bingo, and playing cards.

She is survived by her Godchild and caregiver, Susie Kluesner and her spouse Danny, of Dubois; her grandchildren, Kevin Kalb and his spouse Shawn, of Dubois, Karen Garner and her spouse Steve, of Huntington, Ind.; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one son, Eugene Kalb, one brother, Russell Beck, and two grandchildren – Sandra Kalb and Heath Kalb.

Funeral services for Wanda Kalb will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN, with burial to follow in the St. Paul’s Cemetery in Haysville, IN. Pastor Charla Grieves will officiate.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service time at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Fridaym, December 6, 2013.
