Wanda J. Denton, 82

Wanda J. Denton, 82, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 12:51 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015, at The Timbers of Jasper in Jasper, Indiana.

She was born October 27, 1932 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Jesse and Maggie Claire (Stapleton) Hall.

Wanda was employed in local woodworking factories for 40 years and then after retirement she worked at Walmart in Jasper for 10 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was also an avid Tony Stewart NASCAR fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by one son, Robert Gene Denton, Jr. of Minneapolis, Minn.; two daughters, Rebecca “Book” Schaber of Huntingburg; Sandra Thomas of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one brother, Terry Hall of Jasper; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Wanda J. Denton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mayo Cemetery near Duff, Indiana.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and also from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the funeral.
