Walter M. Phillips, age 68, of Jasper, passed away at 10:01 a.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Walter was born in Vincennes, Indiana on February 6, 1945 to Walter Sr. and Evelyn (Miderman) Phillips.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Phillips, of Fortville, IN; two sisters, Patricia L. Morris, of Fortville, IN, and Connie J. Cox, Clemmons, of NC; one niece, Elisabeth Ciano, of Clemmons, NC; two nephews, Michael Morris, of Fortville, IN, and Timothy Cox, of Florida.

Preceding him in death is his father, Walter Phillips Jr.

Funeral services for Walter M. Phillips will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Providence Home in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, IN.

Friends may call from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the Providence Home in Jasper.
