VUJC staff member awarded

Stephanie Crockett, secretary for the Vincennes University Jasper Campus Continuing Education department, has been named “Support Staff Member of the Year” by the Indiana Council for Continuing Education.

The annual award is for an hourly paid support staff employee of a continuing education unit in an ICCE-member institution and has provided outstanding service to continuing education instructors, administrators, or students.

The nominee must have shown a deep commitment to serving the mission of continuing education. Nominations were also submitted from Purdue University, Indiana University, Purdue University – Ft. Wayne, and Indiana Wesleyan University.

Crockett, a resident of Jasper, has been a VU employee since 2008 and also provides assistance to the Center for Technology, Innovation, and Manufacturing. She is  also attended nontraditional classes through Western Governors University (WGU) and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

“Stephanie is a champion for adult and continuing education and provides exemplary customer service to the students, staff and faculty of VU Jasper,” Jim McFaul, Director of Continuing Education said. “Her dedication to Continuing Education is the reason for our success.”

She will receive an award a the annual state meeting in Indianapolis on October 15th.
