VistaCare opens new office in Germantown Shopping Center

Jasper Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Friday for a new office opening in a former retail establishment in the Germantown Shopping Center. The company isn’t a new one though, it’s been operating in the area for a while, but to better serve its customers and the local employees the company decided to open the satellite office in Jasper.

VistaCare Hospice provides hospice services in 12 states and has been in business since 1995. VistaCare provides care for patients in the last six months of their lives and the company prides itself on the care it provides for these patients. VistaCare provides any type of care the patient would need through certified nurses and doctors, clinicians, therapists, or volunteers.

This new office will cover Dubois, Martin, Pike, Davies, and Perry Counties, as well as the northern half of Spencer County. The care is available for patients in their homes, nursing facilities, or wherever they are spending the final months of their lives.

Lara Beck is the Executive Director for the Evansville branch as well as the new Jasper branch. She has worked with VistaCare for five years and was attracted to the company for its policy regarding caring for patients at the end of their lives.

“VistaCare will take a patient on no matter their financial situation.” Beck explained that VistaCare is dedicated to caring of the individual in need. “We truly feel the only reason we exist is to take care of people at the end of life’s journey. It’s what we live and breathe.”

The ribbon cutting was conducted by longtime City Councilman Tom Schmidt and Councilman Kevin Manley also attended. Jasper Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Nancy Eckerle presented the company with its honorary first dollar for the new location.
