Virlee Rose (Haefling) Jones, 83

Virlee Rose (Haefling) Jones, 83, of Jasper (formerly of French Lick) passed away June 26, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Society-Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

Virlee was born on December 2nd, 1931 in Orange County, Indiana to Henry and Louise (Guntil) Haefling.

She married William Jones and he preceded her in death on February 29th, 2008.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, twin sister, Virginia Kellams and one sister, Shirley Foxx; niece Patty Pielemeier.

Virlee was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in French Lick. She retired from Kimball International after 35 years.

She is survived by two sons, Billy Jones (Angela Kay) of French Lick and Gary Jones (Patty) of Dubois; three brothers, Edwin Haefling of St. Meinrad, Stanley Haefling of French Lick and Ronnie Haefling of Dubois; two sisters, Delores Brosmer of Wickliffe and Mary Dibble of Iowa; four grandchildren, Melissa Kasten of Jasper, Darrin Jones of Crystal, Amber Jones of Jasper and Matthew W. Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be conducted Monday, June 29th, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. by Father Julian Peters at the chapel of Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, 9640 West State Road 56, French Lick, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Wininger Cemetery, Hillham, Indiana.

Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Good Samaritan Society – Northwood Retirement Community, 2515 Newton Street, Jasper, Indiana 47547.
