Virlee M. Schwartz, 77

Virlee M. Schwartz, 77, of Huntingburg, passed away at 5:35 p.m., on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born January 9, 1938 in St. Anthony, Indiana, to Emil and Anna (Metz) Wessel. She married Urban Schwartz on November 7, 1959 in Schnellville.

Virlee was a farmer and also worked at Jasper Wood Products. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; an antique car enthusiast; enjoyed collecting antiques; and loved her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Urban Schwartz, who passed away March 5, 1992; and one sister, Rose Ann Pund.

She is survived by one brother-in-law, Francis Pund of St. Anthony; and by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Virlee Schwartz will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Huntingburg.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. on Thursday morning.
